Good morning, gents.
I just arrived in Phnom Penh, and paid for a one-month business visa at the airport. What is the best and cheapest way to get the one-year visa? Is there a set price or will I get charged whatever someone wants to charge me? What should it cost?
That's for the help.
Where would one get the one-year business visa extension?

Hello,
You can go and do it yourself....or you can pay an agent to do it for you. An agent will cost around 280.00......I am not sure how much you save if you do it yourself, but probably not much. Most Guest Houses, many bars, shops that rent motorbikes, booths along the riverside, etc. etc. can provide the service.
You are welcome to come to Lone Star and we can call our Visa guy......but there are tons of places to get it done. My advice would be to go to an establishment you trust and let them handle it. You can drop your passport off, and pay upon receipt of the passport with the new visa.

I have always had a very good visa renewal service from A2Z Travel on street 19, corner of st 130 (give or take a cross-street).

Is getting a one year visa independent of getting a work permit? Do I need the visa first and then the work permit? How does one get a work permit?
can i get an extension on my ordinary visa for 1 month at the airport?
on a different matter....my bank card from Krungsi bank in Thailand is not working in these ATM machines so far.....does anyone know of a specific bank that can process that transaction?
the krungsri card has all the right logos on it, such as Visa and PLUS, but the ATM machine just rejects the card

It is a long shot but as Krungsi has bought up Hattha Kaksekar MFI try if it works at their ATM. I never use ATM's here and am happy that most of the economy is still cash-based. Most banks have plenty of staff on hand if you want to take out cash or make deposits.

No, you can either apply for an extension of stay from the Immigration Department opposite PP airport, or through an agent.SteveB wrote:can i get an extension on my ordinary visa for 1 month at the airport?
You realise that a 1 month extension is not valid for multi-entry/exit right? If you plan on being here for 6 mths or more, it works out cheaper to get a 6 or 12 mth extension, both of which are MEEV's.

i thought the "business/ordinary" visa would allow entry and exits....
can you give me an estimate about how much an agent charges...my hotel wanted 150 usd but it was not clear exactly what type of visa i would get....my Khmer language skills are still developing
thanks!

It's like PSD_Kiwi said -- one month extension of the business/ordinary visa is single-entry only. Multiple-entry only with 6- or 12-month extensions. 12 months is roughly $280 using an agent. Check with a travel agency on the 6-month price. If your hotel is asking you $150 for a one-month extension, they're robbing you blind.

SteveB, have a read of this thread to familiarize yourself with visas for Cambodia...
