The most common diseases around you?
Diseases... I'd like to know about it. What are the most common (and problematic) diseases around you in Cambodia?
Pls, give me some quick answers, according to your experience. I don't mean the flu, getting cold or something else that we have everywhere around the world. Are there some more unusual or problematic cases like "a lot of HIV/AIDS", "many hepatitis cases" and so on?
So, what's the situation around nowadays?

Missus say for foreigners diarrhoea is unsurprisingly very common as well as small to medium Moto accidents, for serious illnesses dengue is among the top issues (mostly among the adventurous type of tourist) together with drug and alcohol related hospitalisations.
among STDs showing up in tests Chlamydia takes the top place for barang.

Personally I think the top issue here is the lack of an early diagnosis for most problems due to the fact that people might go to the doctor but often won't pay for a proper round of tests.

Just tick every box for the above mentioned ailments.
Your question fails in being specific enough to provide a credible answer.
There are many ailments here that could be addressed if a viable health system existed.
Most of them are not contagious ( if that is what is worrying you ).
Any and all diseases that you can find in a tropical region also exist in SE Asia.
But your chances of catching them is slim.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

I mainly live rurally.
Dengue and malaria seem most common. Don't think I've had dengue. Had malaria last year. Can't say I reccomend it.
Diabetes (type B) is extremely common, but that's probably a condition rather than a disease.
Hand, foot and mouth seems to be popular with the young kids.
Quite a bit of Hepatitis B around too, yellow eyes are in vogue. Get your shots for that.
