Also the UK does not stamp any UK passport, on entry or exit.
They do have API (Advanced Passenger Information) that is supplied by the airlines but it's a shit load of data.
So unless "they" are looking for something or stats its pretty useless.

Thanks. I was really wondering if anyone had done it recently with a young kid. If they returned from somewhere with no Cambodian Embassy and therefore couldn't get a K visa before travelling would they get a K visa on arrival and then do whatever hoop jumping was required for claiming citizenship?Miguelito wrote:I've met several that were born in the U.S./France/Canada in the 80's, and have moved back here now and obtained citizenship. Hell, there's even an organization for them, Anvaya.walkjivefly wrote:Has anyone put that Article 4 to the test recently? I mean has any barang married (or not) to a Khmer woman had a baby together outside of Cambodia and some time later returned to Cambodia and asserted citizenship and acquired ID card, passport, family book entry etc for the child?thelost wrote:
I did some Googling and here is the link - https://www.wto.org/english/thewto_e/ac ... LEG_37.pdf
Article 4 - Shall obtain Khmer nationality/citizenship regardless of the place of birth
- Any legitimate child who is born from a mother or father who has Khmer nationality/citizenship
- Any illegitimate child who is born from and recognised by mother or father who has Khmer nationality
If citizenship is automatic for anyone with at least one Khmer parent how would that affect foreign citizenship of a country which doesn't permit dual nationality?
There are only 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and ...
K-type visa is available on arrival.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
So to recap.PSD_Kiwi wrote:K-type visa is available on arrival.
K type is for people with Cambodian heritage, by birth, parents or whatever.
It's not available for tourists visiting. So why did the op get one?
pew, pew, pew, pew!
The UK does not have all the exit and entry of it's citizen linked to the main computer.YaTingPom wrote:Also the UK does not stamp any UK passport, on entry or exit.

I was surprised at this fact when I was back in the UK in 2014, getting my NI number activated again...
They have no clue if you are in the UK or overseas.
Careful. You'll have someone tell you there's a secret service database where everything is linked and they know where every body is!
