Annoying post about someone wanting to move to Phnom Penh
I'm sure this has been done 1,000,000 times on here and I hope there isn't a thread I should be doing this on, But I am in the very beginning stages of planning my move and could really use a few people that I can bother with questions that the internet doesn't seem to have the answers to.

Well My main question at the moment is; What kind of work is there in a city like Phnom Penh if you Don't want to teach English and all of your experience is in Trades or Private security? Is it possible to make a livable wage? Not looking to excel there, Just hoping to enjoy life.

hmmm...not my field of expertise but I reckon with trades and security you might be on to something...
lots of shonky building that could do with fixing...hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chip in....

Security here is mostly the domain of the Police and Military, there are a couple of foreigner owned sec companies, it may be possible to find a position in management (if you're lucky/ right time, right place) but don't even consider getting involved in physical security personally.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

It seems that all your experience is in jobs Khmers will do for about $3-$5 a day.

That's what I was worried about. I don't mind doing other things, and I have managed bars before.
