Studying Cambodian

I will be coming to Phnom Penh to study Cambodian in a language class. It will be a beginner class. I am wondering if I am if should learn the Cambodian alphabet before I start the class. It seems really difficult. Should I try to learn it by myself or wait for the class? Does anyone know any online resources to learn it?

you could familiarise yourself with it,
but tbh id wait until you get to class and can be taught the pronunciations properly tbh
