Wish me luck...... Sounds like I'll need it. The advice ranges from best dentist in the country to cracked teeth and would never go again.gavinmac wrote:First time in 14 years of posting that anyone has ever taken my advice about anything.Kennzo wrote:Thanks everyone I'm following in the footsteps of a fellow frequent traveler GM and trying Dr. Loung at Roomchang.

I'll be happy with somewhere in between.

I tend to sleep in the nude. Which isn't a bad thing except for maybe on those long flights.

Of course it is deliberately exaggerated. But there is a point.guavafruitrules wrote:Got to be the most stupid analogy ever.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:I had a bad experience crossing the road once. You can’t expect excellent resolution of issues every time you go somewhere. Especially with health things. There are so many variable that can cause issues.
They didn’t fix your tooth once so never go back? Surely give them a chance to rectify the issue - should be for free, if they can’t then there is an issue.
Of course problems with your gob are annoying. I had an excellent dentist in the UK when I was younger, very highly rated with a long waiting list to join the practise. My brother used him too and had a filling fall out after a week. Dentist received him back immediately and fixed it up again, this time no issues.
Issues are inevitable. Resolution of issues is what makes excellent customer service.
Huffing and never going back when you encounter a problem will quickly limit the number of good places to frequent.
PS I can cross the road now, I just get Dangerous Dave to accompany me.

He did work including implants on a friend of mine and the result was good.
Crabtree ready to chime in now?

Dr. Lina at La Belle is good and personable.

I went there a month ago and I confirm. An old filling needed replacing, I got an appointment on the same day. Excellent job, about 40 minutes, cute assistants and it cost $15. Would have cost 50 at roomchang, which is only as good as the relatively new and inexperienced dentist you get assigned for simple procedures.badboybubby wrote:not sure that she's the best but i'd rate her very highly..
Dr lina at Labelle dental clinic on 110 near old market..
i had some root canal work done and she was first class, very personable and affordable...
Agree on that. Did have another visit, just a few weeks ago. $10 for cleanup/check and another $10 for a filling. And again, no need for anaesthetic, which is definitely needed in my passport country.
And it seems, more and more people are recognizing her skills, since she quite expanded and now has double the dentist chairs as a year ago. Personal recognition on the spot, when I came in.

Are you all sure you recommend Dr. Lina? When I went to her place it seems fairly small, like a mom and pop storefront place. Doesn't completely inspire confidence. Looks may be deceiving, but... She also has another dentist now working with her.

When you ask for Lina (as a Westerner, you not even have to ask), you will get "the boss". IIRC, she now has 4 chairs at the 110 location. She opened another location, around #138z, some 2 years ago (not sure, if still open, though), with a more serene lookout The 110 location was far more popular/busy.
Actually, when I went in there, she was seeing another patient. So the other dentist answered my question and then looked at my teeth. If I wanted to see Dr. Lina, I would probably have to ask specifically for her, instead of the other dentist.
