Laptop hardware cleaning
My five year old sony is running hot . I have been living here for some years and over that time it has accumulated a great deal of dust to its innards . Does anybody know of a reliable , honest phnom penh outlet that i could trust to open up my machine , clean all the dust out , and put it back together again successfully ?

Have you tried using a small compressor like one used to inflate an air mattress ?
It might be just running out of memory so your CPU is working overtime to run your software.

Yes I have . It just blows the dust around on the inside . Some is expelled , but only a fraction . It needs a thorough clean , taking apart cleaning and putting it back together . When I was in UK last two years ago I had it cleaned . The guy in the shop told me it was full of dust . All I want is to find a similar shop in PP , that can do a similar job . I use the laptop mainly on my patio . The air here is full of dust . As is this laptop !logos wrote:Have you tried using a small compressor like one used to inflate an air mattress ?

No memory is fine . When I was in London two years ago I had it properly cleaned , taken apart and put back together . The guy in the shop remarked on how much dust he removed . I simply want to know if there is a shop here that can do the same job .YaTingPom wrote:It might be just running out of memory so your CPU is working overtime to run your software.

Of course there are shops that will. Ask at the ones on St 63 near shanouk... a couple have been recommended for other services, plus at ICE on Monivong....somewhere up near....??.... 154?

can you not do it yourself? it is fairly simple, remove covers and wipe it down or vacuum it.

That's what I would have thought. Remove the covers, get all the excess off with a toothbrush and spray the fuck out of everything with air duster. Then huff what's left in the can.Master Donut Baker wrote:can you not do it yourself? it is fairly simple, remove covers and wipe it down or vacuum it.
