TV repair?
This Samsung TV that my kid uses for his PS4 just went blank today, although the sound still works. It wasn't particularly expensive, maybe $250 a couple of years back but I don't feel like replacing it yet. Any idea where I can get it fixed quickly?

Wife took a Sony TV back to the shop we bought ours from a few years back & they sorted it out - seem to recall father-in-law suggesting a guy on Kampuchea Krom where they've got all the boxes out front with old+'new' TVs. Traveling at the moment so can't get a shop name, but Kampuchea Krom would be my first port of call if the shop you bought it from can't handle.

Around most bigger local markets, you find the local repair man, usually also for electronic stuff. Count on parts-replace until it works, if they don't know the brand/type. Otherwise, they may very well know the problem and be able to swap circuit boards right away.Lucky Lucan wrote:This Samsung TV that my kid uses for his PS4 just went blank today, although the sound still works. Cheers for the replies. I had a look along my street first because I remembered a TV repair shop along it, but it looked dodgy as they only had a few old CRTs around. I found a place on 271 a block east of the new 999 development. Found it on Google and it's actually called "TV Repair". Fuck knows why I didn't do that in the first place!
