Does Anyone Know This Building?
Hi. I'm interested in modern architecture, particularly the period from 1950-1970. Having seen the higher profile buildings in Phnom Penh, I was hunting around on the internet for something a little more obscure and I found something that could have been of interest, so I made a note for my next visit. Now I can't find my note and I can't find any trace of the building when I search the internet again.
I thought I would make a post here on the off chance that someone recognises it from my brief and poor description. This is from my not very reliable memory and some of it could be wrong:
Low rise, white, detached building surrounded by open land, possibly to the north of the city. Used by some sort of official body such as government or institution, a type of building with a less common than usual purpose e.g. research, telecoms, tracking station.
Has anyone got any idea what this is?

Well, you certainly have never won a descriptive writing award... Your description is way too imprecise. Where exactly north if the city? Which district? Along which road? Can you tell us more about the building, approximate size, colours, garden in front etc?
The Ministry of Water Resources & Meteorolgy?
Royal University of PP?
Institute of Foreign Languages?
It's just gonna be a guessing game from your description.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Well you certainly found something obscure. So obscure it seems to have vanished!bluemask wrote: I was hunting around on the internet for something a little more obscure and I found something that could have been of interest, so I made a note for my next visit. I'm afraid that's all I have in my memory bank. I agree it would be easier if I knew all those things.

Definitely not the last two. MOWRAM is an interesting looking building but it isn't what I have in mind. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Vanished from my poor memory, along with the bookmark I filed somewhere

Yes, if only I knew where to start.

Are you talking about this mysterious Russian building on Sothearous? :
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
It may be the Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) building, but no one knows where it is and some even question whether it exists at all

I think its unfair that people always blame the Cambodian Government of corruption. They can't it if they're just crap at their job.
My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.
