My kids just received new passports. They had K visas in their old passports. Is it possible to just get the K visas transferred to the new passports? Do we just turn up with the old and new passports and the fee? If so how much is the fee?
Thanks in advance.

K visas are free. I believe you can just do it next time that you fly back in.slavedog wrote:My kids just received new passports. They had K visas in their old passports. Just travel with both old And new passports, then apply for their K-type visas upon your next re-entry to
Cambodia. The visas are valid for life, and are still valid even if in the expired pp.

Similar type of question for me.PSD_Kiwi wrote:Just travel with both old And new passports, then apply for their K-type visas upon your next re-entry to

My daughter has just got her new Australian passport aswell but I haven't used it yet. As the old one has expired with her K visa in it. So when she leaves Cambodia does she need to get an exit visa for the new passport because it is Australian? or can I just take the expired Australian passport aswell the she entered Cambodia on and show the K visa at immigration and they let her out? Don't want to get my tickets and then at immigration they say I need an exit visa.
Coming back in is no problem as I will get a new K visa in the new passport
Slavedog, K visa is technically free but last time I got one they asked for a $5 "fee" to get it done.
OK, my wife popped by immigration (opposite airport) this morning. Was told they do need an exit visa and the cost of the exit visa is $50, but as a favour they will do 2 for $70.DD wrote:Similar type of question for me.PSD_Kiwi wrote:Just travel with both old And new passports, then apply for their K-type visas upon your next re-entry to

Is there anyone who has actually done this recently?

I've done this twice. You just turn up with both passports when you leave, they stamp the kid out. Then when you return they put a new K visa in the new passport, I don't even remember having to pay a "fee".
You only need an exit visa the first time the kid leaves on their first overseas passport.

That's what I was expecting. Sounds like the parasites at immigration are getting greedy / desperate / whatever.starkmonster wrote:I've done this twice. How long ago did you last do this, Starky?
