I have one room that has black mould on the walls and ceiling and also on wooden furniture, including untreated wood. Where can I buy mould killer, the kind of liquid you brush on or wipe over surfaces; will it cause any problem if I use it before varnishing untreated pine? I keep the window open to the mezzanine floor but for some unknown reason only that room seems unusually damp.
Most of all, if anyone knows what the word for mould killer is in Khmer? I don't trust google translate, it has been misleading more often than not.
Mould killer?
black mold can be very unhealthy - read and follow the directions

I did have breathing problems before but I thought it was the dust, because while I was in England the symptoms went away. Luckily I haven't developed those symptoms yet after coming back. And finally the landlord has come to look at it: they are trying to determine the cause. If they can do that it is of course great news but meanwhile I need to get rid of that mould.
I read that bleach is one of the things I can use, but the only bleach I have found in the market is for clothes, which is already pretty diluted. I haven't seen any pure bleach products meant for toilet bowls, for example. Can you buy Borax here or hydrogen peroxide in large enough quantities? If there is a different name for them in Cambodia, that would be great to know.

Mold is ស្លែ (Sly)
Mold Wash is ទឹកលាងស្លែ (Duk Leang Sly - Literally Water to Clean Mold)
Urai Paints do a mold wash. Cheap brand of paints, in many hardware stores. Ask to see the paint colour catalogue and the product is listed in that on the back page with other products as ទឹកលាងស្លែ. Whether the hardware shop you stop in will have it is another matter, most places will only stock the paint and other basics.
Sure other brands of paint do one too, but I know Urai do it as I saw it the other week listed in a catalogue in a shop on Mao Tse Tung.
