Update on swimming pool situation
A while back there was a discussion of good pools in Phnom Penh.
VIP has shut down. Phnom Penh Sports Club is still there. Himawari is nice but pricey.
What are the affordable options for swimming pools in Phnom Penh?

Dib Club has a great pool, free if you spend $5 on food & bev.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Any public pool must have a shower area one must use before entering the pool, imo, have strict rules.
I scrambled out of the pool when the 2 ladyboys and clients entered. I didn't want to be in that big bath with them.

Join a gym with a pool
Depends what you mean by 'affordable', it's subjective

With that statement he came out with we can safely assume that he has indeed caught the gayness. He will have to accept it now, even though he'll be chased from town to town forever more.Gin&Tonic wrote:Do you think you can catch gay?Jep wrote:Any public pool must have a shower area one must use before entering the pool, imo, have strict rules.

Cambodiana pool is still there.
Lots of other hotel pools, anywhere from the Raffles and Sofitel, to more boutique like Plantation and Pavilion. I've also used Patio and Aquarius for the afternoons before.
For kids, there's the Cambodia Country Club, or I believe Slavedog has recommended Urban Space or something like that, where he'll bring the kids and enjoy a bottle of wine to himself.
There's another place on the other side of the river, but people have given the staff pretty bad reviews. Forget the name though.

Look on the bright side, at least he can sit side by side in a tuk-tuk.Lucky Lucan wrote:With that statement he came out with we can safely assume that he has indeed caught the gayness. There's S-Mango right on the east bank of the Mekong. It's a nice place but not very well-maintained, the staff aren't too efficient and the food is over-priced garbage. Like who the hell wants to pay $6 for a plate of freezer fries? I got a club sandwich there and it was obvious the cook had never even seen a picture of a club sandwich.Miguelito wrote:Cambodiana pool is still there.

I've made the club sandwich mistake, twice. Never again. The Khmer soups are passable, but not much else on the menu is.Lucky Lucan wrote:There's S-Mango right on the east bank of the Mekong. Their service has improvements slightly though, every table gets a buzzer to attract staff attention. They still take 15 minutes to fetch a beer.
