So, we’ve hired a Khmer nanny. Is there any place that we can send her for an afternoon or day of basic training, such as Children CPR, sanitation, or the like?
Of course we understand that Cambodians of all ages are good with children, with the “it takes a village” approach that they have most likely been exposed to a lot more young kids than I have. But some basic Western level training / knowledge might be helpful.
Thanks!

Can't you teach her sanitation and the like yourselves?
First aid training is available, yes.

Not sure 'children CPR' would be the first one on my list when educating a nanny. The chances of a child suffering from heart failure are pretty small, but there's a lot of other more prevalent risks around like unhygienic food, bacterial infections, unsafe traffic etc etc. I would focus on those before 'children CPR'.FatherTime wrote:So, we’ve hired a Khmer nanny. To be fair, you haven't hired a nanny, you've hired a babysitter and someone who can wash bottles and change nappies etc. You seem to have higher expectations than a "village nanny."
Why not pay a little more and get the best help in the early developmental stage of your child?
You're also taking a risk paying for training as they are likely to leave as soon as they find a better job.
