New visa process
Recently (2 weeks ago) asked Lucky to get me a 1 year, multiple entry, working visa
$295
To date, still waiting, apparently Monday or Tuesday
Never waited more than 3 working days, but the travel agent says there is a 'new system' in place.
If t's not broken, mess with it.
Anybody else experience this?

No new system, just takes longer due to the massive increase in extensions being applied for and the requirements for supporting documentation. Some people are getting their EOS's back within 4 days, while others are waiting up to 4 weeks, in some cases even longer. The days of 3 day turnaround have been gone for a while now...unless you pay extra for fast-tracking.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
Come on, it's Vlad. He doesn't pay extra.PSD_Kiwi wrote:No new system, just takes longer due to the massive increase in extensions being applied for and the requirements for supporting documentation. The price most pay (around $295 for one year multiple entry) is already extra.
The actual cost is around $180

Dog perma-banned me years ago, try and keep up.Alex wrote:vlad in all honesty, if I were you I would start praying.
The guy doing it for $160 or so in Battambang got shut down, there was a thread on it somewhere, if we can persuade gavinmac there was a shirtless/shoeless barang involved, he will pull it.

How’d this end up? I’m up for renewal and trying to time it around the holidays, etc.
Not really related however....
On my way into Ponchentong last week I had already prefilled my tourist visa form with attached photo . When i got to the line there were a dozen or so tourists milling around looking very unsure of what to do and so I strode past them all and slapped my passport and form down and made off for the other end of the counter where your passport gets spat out and you pay. Some FWB gave me a filthy look and motioned there was a queue and I just laughed at her.
Before I got too far I got called back an I thought i was going to get told to wait in the queue by a Khmer immigration official ( how novel ! ) however he just looked at me and then motioned for me to keep going...wierd i thought.
When i got to the other end there were about 20 people waiting to get their passports so i settled in for what I knew would be a 15 min wait. But then All of a sudden an immigration dude comes out of a side door motions me over, shows me my passport and offers me express processing for $5 which i jump on. 2 mins later I am on my way much to the annoyance of all waiting.
I have no idea why they "chose" me however there was another single male traveller coming to the "express door" behind me so I can only assume they were grabbing single males who could be done quickly.
This is the first time I have had this offered in 12 years of transiting through Cambodia.
I then asked the dude if he could do a 12 month business visa and was told $350 / 20 minutes. I assume this is the one time only 12 mth EB anyone can get before needing the Work Book etc.
Merry Xmas
