Grab taxi prices to airport
Grab taxi prices to airport
Grab taxi for a tuk tuk is showing 17,000 riel to the airport from the Riverside. That's less than $5. Is the driver really going to take me there for less than $5?
Lots of locals. I use the PassApp. company . Same same, very convenient. Only have to touch 2 keys on the phone and they arrive smartly. Riverside to Airport last week. 18.000 r.
No tier pricing which is nice.
Has anyone tried using the grab stopoff function to go to the airport and back home again? I need to pick someone up on Friday and was thinking of trying this.
You can do that. Make sure friend is waiting outside airport.

It's pretty late at night, around midnight, so a little concerned there might not be many kicking around at that time, plus the driver will be looking for a fare back to his area. I can just ask him to wait by the gates on the main road, can't I? Anyone have experience coming in that late?
Possible, but why??? They are 24/7 and safe as a church. You press 2 buttons on the phone, .driver on his way. Driver arriving. In 44 seconds. Arrived.
Just order another one man....

You present a strong argument, but there always seems to be a derth of tuk tuks around that time most places, which is my concern. Or should I not be concerned about waiting 30 minutes at midnight around the airport waiting for a tuk tuk that I already had. Honestly, I have never flown in, or had someone fly in that late so I have no clue how available they are up there at that time of night.
Sorry, Im not here to argue.Cricket99 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 8:33 pmYou present a strong argument, but there always seems to be a derth of tuk tuks around that time most places, which is my concern. Grab and PassApp are 24hrs and I'm sure there are many all everywhere, especially the Airport.
You can even see on the map the driver arriving. ..even a dumbass like me can knows how to use it.
I arrived airport 0100 Sunday, tried Grab several times, no drivers available.
My wife had offered to pick me up but I'd told her not to bother.
In the end I ran the gauntlet of touts and drivers to the road and got a tuk tuk there.
No big deal, but what a terrible first impression for any first time visitors, arriving and having to deal with those fuckwits.

^^ . I'm happy they were a no show bro.
..you probably would have to told the driver to fuck off for being late.

Thank you, a real world example, this is what I was afraid of. Having taken many a tuk tuk at that that time around the city, I know the struggle, the only thing I wasn't sure of was at the airport. My friend is a first time visitor to Cambodia and I would rather not have her waiting for 30 minutes for a ride, while I personally would not care. I will try the stop off and report back for anyone else who is interested. Thank you all for the feedback.slavedog wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 9:17 pmI arrived airport 0100 Sunday, tried Grab several times, no drivers available.

Your fiend could step outside the arrivals hall and say "taxi" and pay $12-$15 to go anywhere in town.
