Import limits on personal items?
Are there any limits on personal care Items you can bring when you fly in, including medicines? There are things that I use every day, for personal care, that I know are not available in any place I have lived in The Philippines and Thailand, including the cities. I brought a couple of cases of the denture powder I use when I flew into the Philippines, along with 3 extra of the electric shavers I use because I had already made friends there and knew they were not available. I also brought in a good supply of 800 mg ibuprofen because it wasn't available and the generic 200 mg are mostly garbage.

The 400mg tablets of ibuprofen are available at every pharmacy for next to nothing - 0.50c a strip. Have never seen larger doses here.
Replacement blades for electronic razors will be hit and miss.
Have no idea about denture powder, or what it even is.
A vast cornucopia of pharmaceuticals are available here, and available without any kind of prescription - caveat emptor

TY. I have even tried the 400's but I needed 3 to get the same results as 1-800. I know, the pharmacies are great for most things in Asia. Some things are high priced compared to here but most are a lot cheaper. Certain meds I order here from India are maybe 3-4 times higher there. It's funny but the denture powder I like is made in the UK, and can't be found in Asia. It is used to glue my upper denture in so it doesn't fly out when I run or sing or... I like Remington electric shavers that are like Norelco but the blades are much sharper and last a whole lot longer. All I could find over there was the Phillips/Norelco brand or Chinese knockoffs that were worse.Playboy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 1:11 pmThe 400mg tablets of ibuprofen are available at every pharmacy for next to nothing - 0.50c a strip. I generally find that two of the 400mg is enough to take the edge off.
If I were you, I would bring some extra blades for your electronic razor. I have seen Remington shavers here - I have one of their trimmers - but as I said, spares will be very much hit and miss.
Any other important items that you will need to source once in country ?

Disappointed John- I had visions of you being the John Wayne type who would shave with a cut-throat razor sharpened by the hardest covfefe stone, with foam from the mouths of communist dictators mixed into a frenzied lather with Democrat tears.

It is amazing the things that technology makes easier. I hear they even have this new fangled thing called the internet. Electric shavers have also been around a whole lot longer than 1.0's too. And why would I want anything from the mouths of Communist dictators? Their words are poisonous alone.Spigzy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 1:48 pmDisappointed John- I had visions of you being the John Wayne type who would shave with a cut-throat razor sharpened by the hardest covfefe stone, with foam from the mouths of communist dictators mixed into a frenzied lather with Democrat tears.

The one time a month I need to shave, I find electric razors to be shit that just burns at the skin.
I need to find a new place for a wet shave not that Tokyo Barber has gone to shit.
But, back on topic, I've never heard of anyone having any problems bringing things into country in their luggage, other than drug mules.
If you're using a shipping service for personal items, that's another matter.

Unless they mistake the electric shaver for a vibrator that is!
You're right, I was going to suggest to your mate that a fleet of drones (COmbined Vanguard Force Exterminating Foreign Entities) along the border and armed to the teeth would still be cheaper than building a traditional wall.Johnsell50 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 3:08 pmIt is amazing the things that technology makes easier.Spigzy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 1:48 pmDisappointed John- I had visions of you being the John Wayne type who would shave with a cut-throat razor sharpened by the hardest covfefe stone, with foam from the mouths of communist dictators mixed into a frenzied lather with Democrat tears.
