Rockwool is great insulation and cheap in Cambodia. But it needs to be contained by ceiling and wall sheeting otherwise the mineral fibres blow everywhere. You could cover it with thin ply boards I suppose. But you need ventilation as well, those whirly bird things work on the roof.
They knock them out in the backyard shops.
Portable A/C units are very inefficient, several wall fans would be much better. You must be able to buy foil backed insulation by the roll, put the foil on the inside and tape the joints with silver tape to contain the fibres.
Where to find roofing insulation, what are the best options
I'm revisiting an old post because the same problem has occurred.
It's a small piece of land 5 mtr by 15mtr deep. Keyo Russo area.
Brother in law has returned to PP from Snooky because he can no longer find employment.
He has a wife and 3 kids. He has always been very kind to me and I consider his kids to be close to me.
So I'm happy to support my wife as she wants to build a Tin Oven on the land for him to live in.
Bottom line is I need to insulate this structure.
Suggestions on sourcing material would be appreciated.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Your comment made me laugh because it was based on your experience in Cambodia and not mine.
There are 12 siblings in total in my extended Cambodian family plus their children and not once in the past 6 yrs have they asked me for anything.
When hard times hit they band together and support each other.
I always make sure the wife has a few extra dollars in the bank a/c that she can call upon if a problem arises.
She is 100% responsible for this money and can spend it as she sees fit, she does not need to seek my approval to spend it.
After looking at the Tin Oven she was building on our land to provide temporary housing for her brother, I told her to spend more money and make it more comfortable.
Hence my latest post on this thread.

Not sure who you think I am but I was never foolish enough to marry. Far too selfish for that.

Update on roofing insulation.
We recently purchased a piece of land in Russo Keyo - 15 mt deep by 5 wide.
It's directly opposite the sister in laws house.
Town water, Electricity, Sewerage and WiFi are now connected.
Several of the brothers and sister's in law got together to provided the labor. they built a small steel framed single story 2 bedroom house with a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a small living area.
It's got a tin roof and tin walls.
For insulation they purchased what looks likes of rolls of Tin Foil Bubble Wrap and stapled it to 3ply timber sheets.
The 3 ply timber sheets were then mounted to the walls and roof..
My wife tells me that the Tin Foil and 3ply reduce the radiated heat transfer very effectively and that rats find it too hot to live between the tin roof and foil so she does not have to worry about them.
