Second question. Don’t be stupid.

You do know it's illegal for foreigners to rent a moto in Siem Reap right? Sure, lots of people skirt the laws but the question from the OP is legitimate. Would he be stopped just because he's a foreigner with the assumption that he had rented a motorcycle? I don't really know the answer but I'm curious. I do know that when I drove up in my SUV last month it didn't seem like it would be a problem for me to drive around the park in the vehicle and I did see some foreigners on motorcycles around SR but wasn't sure about the legality.

They clamp down on rental bikes occasionally but if you have the ID card they won’t bother you.

The second question is still stupid. I mean really?

Years back (2006), electric bikes were available for free at some hotels and for hire at places around town @ $2.00 per half day. There were battery banks around SR and out of town to swap your low charge/dead battery at no extra cost.

Still couldn't enter the park though. I believe all transport to AW Park, motodops and tuk tuk drivers etc...taking tourists need to be registered with the park authority.

Marvin, your bike would be handy to zip out to Kulen Mountains, though once there you may also find restrictions.

I have taken both my car and my bike to Angkor Wat.

Technically, foreigners are not allowed to rent bikes though that seems to not have been enforced since a couple of years.

“To Angkor Wat” and “around Angkor Wat” are slightly different though!

Maybe the OP is getting confused with Google street view that allows you to view inside. It was taken with their wearable backpack.

Admittedly, I do not know the current status but the last time I drone to and around Angkor Wat was last December.

The traffic law is the same in all of the kingdom, but many locals in the transportation industry dislikes barang handling their own vehicle. In Phnom Penh it is easier to blend in than other parts of the country. I suggest being a courteous rider in all, and you wont be facing a bad reputation among the tuktuk mafia and traffic correctional officers. Like don't drive drunk without a helmet, or take a red light, especially in Siem Reap which has a lot of international visitors, and thereby likes to appear orderly and calm to the public.

Just yanking your and the OP’s chain Hanno!

“Tuk Tuk Mafia”
From Wiki
‘A mafia is a type of organized crime syndicate...’

The vast majority of TukTuk drivers are imbeciles. As a collective they can’t organise any crime.
That protest recently was organised by their union or whatever it is. Maybe they are the mafia?

There’s to problem to access the park complex with one’s own form of transportation. You just drive up and flash your pass and you can drive in. Just note that they have moved where you buy your pass, it’s no longer at the main gate but in its own building closer to town - so go there first then you’ll be all set.
