Hi,
So I guess that Chinese real estate project on the riverside between Japanese bridge and Wat Phnom has finally taken off and they completely shut down the whole strip where you could previously go and hire boats for parties and small trips to silk island etc.
Does anyone know which are the boats moved to?
Cheers!
Where have the boat rentals gone?

The other afternoon I noticed they were all along the riverfront, pretty much from just north of the palace to the larger boats by Titanic.
If I recall, they made this move last year around this time as well, before returning to their normal spots. I remember when the water levels were their highest the bows of the boats were above the steps. This time it seems slightly more permanent looking as they have set up some walkways, but the water is rising so those won't last long,

pew, pew, pew, pew!
Along the stretch opposite Metro is where they all used to be before the authorities moved them north in order to beautify the riverside.

Have the boat prices gone up? I tried to rent a boat which used to be $30 for two hours, now they wanted $50. He said something about having to pay more to park where they are.
All short time prices have gone up.
