Sparkling Kulen
The only sparkling water I ever saw here was the Schweppes and the Thai glass bottles they sell at twice the price here.
We should petition Aldi or Lidl to set up shop in Cambodia, they have excellent 1 liter bottles for the price of wholesale cans here

I just buy a big box of San Pellegrino each week from Bayon, can't recall the price exactly but it's cheap enough & keeps me off the beer. They have the screw cap bottle tops, so not a problem to keep the gas in - just be careful not to buy a traditional bottle top, else you'll need to neck a good litre in one sitting! (I keep a couple of empty screw top bottles just in case there's no other option).

I honestly don't get what the fuss is over 'sparkling water'.
I mean, it's still water...

One of these Sino-Khmer 'selling all kinds of baby stuff/pringles/fresh milk/random western things like cornflakes and pasta sauces/biscuits/red wine and whisky shops.
330ml and 1000ml (edit, not 1500ml). Will buy a few more tomorrow. I only went as it's at the end of the street and for the Carrefour dijon mustard sauce they randomly have a few jars of.

Their website https://www.eaukulen.com/page/eau-kulen-sparkling says that DKSH distributes for them. Can anyone confirm this, and give a per case price? I might have to ask my friendly bar owner to order some for me.
Thanks!

I'd say fuck it, don't bother. The 1l bottle just set me back $1.60 (normal Kuhlen 75c for 1.5l), the baby bottle was $0.90.chkwoot wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 7:17 amWhere? The shop says a case of 1l id $16.50 (it's about $7 something for a case of the bigger bottle regular flavor water).
Is CO2 really that expensive, or is it a marketing ploy?

Marketing ploy/fail. Paid $2 for a 1 liter bottle yesterday. Definitely not worth it. Not enough gas. I think 2000 riel for a 330ml can of Schweppes soda water is still the best value. Oh well. Thanks for the info!
