I know the post office has no (or limited) international post coming in. Which I don’t quite understand...and no one at the post office is able to give any indication of when it might resume. I’ve ordered some stuff from Aliexpress in the past few months and from tracking info they seem to be in Cambodia somewhere... or at least have been marked as left the sending country.
That’s not my question though...
Is it the same issue for container imports? Is the international port and customs in Sihanoukville operating normall-ish.
I have a container coming from Singapore shortly, transporters have agreed the business and contracts have been signed. They are confident that there will be no issues - but maybe they are just really keen for the business
I just don’t know if I can currently receive the goods...

Cheers Migs, I suspected as much. But makes the post office situation seem a little stranger.
Yes, containers as usual for some weeks now. EMS not shipping anywhere (don't know about receiving). Had something shipped from Bangkok with DHL a couple of weeks ago, arrived next day.

Yea, indeed. I also need to post something small from Bangkok but DHL quoted like $900 which is outrageous. I heard the post was working from there, but good to hear that it's not reliable on our end yet.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 10:17 amCheers Migs, I suspected as much. Interestingly packages coming from AliExpress now are no longer going to the post office. They are being dispersed by a company called ZTO, they are fine but can’t tell you when they will delivered - just say vaguely to expect it sometime in next 2-3 days and bizarrely tell you to make sure someone is home.
They have depot offices all over the city though so best to tell them your location and tell them to keep it at the depot nearest your house and you will pick it up when convenient for you. $1 handling charge is applied whether picked up or delivered.
I have had nothing arrive in my PO Box for quite a few months now. Probably won’t keep it when the year is up.
