cats and shit
cats and shit
Despite being here for a while now, there are a few things I need info on. TIA
I have a few kittens hangin around waiting to get bigger and pregnant, just like momma.
I search for 'cat' and got 1400 answers. I search for 'cat trap' and got 913. I would like to get a cat trap and search for a new home for them. Anyone know where I can find such an animal?
I'm also in the market for a scooter. I did the search thing re paper work, taxes, plates, problems, etc. The best advice was to go to the cop shop and get a stamp so there are no future problems.
WTF do I need on this? reg. cert + tax paper + plate?

I don't know about cat traps. What I use is this sort of punji spike system. All you need are some wooden chopsticks ( pointed with a normal pencil sharpener) or those thinner ones people eat snacks with. After a while they blend in and look fine, and some plants can grow around them. Chillis and Chilli powder work well too.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
I think the OP wants to catch the cats and find homes for them LL, not impale the poor little fuckers.

DIY cat trap
Step 1: Place cardboard box on the floor
Step 2: Wait until cat appears in the box
Step 3: Grab the cat

You could try narrowing down your search by searching for ''pussy''

This is too confusing this early in the A M. How bout the scooter papers, plate and shit?
Don't make me blow up the servers.
For that cat stuff, it's hard to find new homes as there are just so many animals around but hopefully someone will at least neuter them. Try Four Paws, Animal Rescue Cambodia, Animal Mama.
Can't help you on the bike stuff.

Tried this and failed. The cat was in the box. Once I opened it there was no cat.
No tips on getting the fuckers alive as I given up on that once they starting scratching the motorbike seat and furniture.

Schrödinger fail, the cat is supposed to be dead or alive, missing is an undefined state, and not valid according to contemporary scienceAR16 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 8:48 amTried this and failed. The cat was in the box. Once I opened it there was no cat.

A couple months ago I was riding my motorcycle back from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville, and I stopped overnight at a guest house on the way. So, I go out to find some dinner. As I walk, I come across an elderly and impoverished Cambodian lady. She is sitting by the road on a tree planter beside her bicycle, which is hung with plastic bags, all her worldly possessions. I see she is begging, and has nothing. So, I give her some money and go on my way. I feel how strange it is that I have no idea really what it is like to be homeless. Many of us expats presume that every Cambodian here has a family home that they can return to in times of trouble. But obviously, this isn't the case for many people...
...For the past few years, especially on local FB forums, I have been seeing -- MORE and MORE often -- expat people posting "cries for help" to adopt stray kittens or dogs that they've found on the street. Recently, I even saw somebody advertising to ask for 1,200 dollars to save a stray cat with broken legs!
...I just don't get it... It's as if expats in Cambodia suffer from a complete blindness to the social reality of their current place of residence. Why are these animal lovers so spoiled by misplaced priorities? This is a poor country. Can't they see? There are thousands of poor kids who have insufficient food. Thousands of homeless souls, too! What is wrong with these people, that they need to construct a bubble of fantastic complacency strong enough to preserves their illusion of compassion? Can't they see it's compassion for the wrong thing in comparison to the actual plight of impoverished human beings all over Cambodia? How have their heads got so far screwed up their asses, that they don't even know where the hell they are living on Earth!?
I am sorry for this ...but I can't help it. It's like people are getting soft in the head all over the world, and the childish comfort afforded by "cuddling a dumb dog or cat" has become a great spiritual blessing or something. I don't understand the blindness and puerility of such idiotic people... Because -- why not give a home to a street urchin or granny instead of a stray animal? Oh I know, of course, such a big sacrifice represents a great burden by comparison to helping a poor scruffy mutt!
Bye-bye Earth, we got our wires crossed somewhere along the way...

It’s a narcissistic trait. They aren’t rescuing cats, they’re buying trophies to prove that they are good people. The cat becomes a diploma of their generosity and kindness that they can put on display.Orichá wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 10:39 am...I just don't get it... That’s why they mention every chance that they get that the cat was destined for pain and torture. Until they showed up. Until they raised $1,200 for the cat’s broken legs, fed it, nurtured it and gave it a safe home decorated with social media likes.
Raising money for the cat in front of an audience puts the cat to good use regardless if it lives or dies.
There are many good people who feed and save cats silently. They don’t start fundraising campaigns and generally care enough to know when it’s time to put an animal out of its misery.
