Has anyone heard of the Kampot-based Red Road Foundation who has a handle on what they are doing down there?
Red Road Foundation
They fund a school or something. Quite prolific around Kampot. Some woman named Rachel is their organiser.
Don't have anything to do with them myself, so can't comment more in that regard. I have heard one person vouch for them and one person voice more cynical thoughts.

Wow. Looks like an extremely grifty operation that exploits local kids to fund raise, to me.

I think that they built a school and have offered free education to kids for several years now... I would say they are legitimate, though I often wondered where Rachel raised money. I assumed they are independently wealthy or something. But, I think it is unfair to call them exploitative. All their teachers work voluntarily... Rachel is a nice lady so far as I can see, and she was more open than many others in strange little secretive cliquey Kampot, when I met her five years ago... There was also an older European lady who worked as an airline stewardess all her life and on her retirement she built her own elementary school towards Kep entirely staffed by volunteer teachers... Maybe they combined forces... I never worked at either place...

it looks like they are trying to launch a skincare range after throwing some peasant children into a hut made of Coca Cola bottles for a photo-op to me.
Why don’t you get off your lazy beer drinking ass and go see?

Is there any NGO in the KoW that isn’t a cynical money-making ploy if there is I have yet to witness it?

Surely if it’s in Kampot it will be about smashed avocado and yoga run by mentally ill Western females/harpies?
