How to renew my visa during lockdown
How to renew my visa during lockdown
Hello,
My normal visa agency is blocked from where I live in Russian Market. I need to renew my visa in 5 days. It would be no problem if it weren't for the lockdown. Does anyone know how I can get to renew my work visa when my village is under lockdown? Thanks in advance.

The DoI Visa office is closed for KNY, they will resume processing EOS applications on the 19th.
Most agents are still operating and able to facilitate EOS applications once the DoI resume work. So all you need to do is get your passport and supporting documentation to an agent, either deliver to them, or have them collect from you, simple.
Call Kim is reliable and trustworthy, and she has confirmed she can collect from anywhere within PP/Takhmau.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

Kim Lennox (of Call Kim) picked up my passport from my place yesterday. She's professional and has a permit to go through the blockades. Her facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/category ... 927629532/ (her telephone number is on there).
Thanks. I don't do FB, but hopefully her number is visible

Kim just dropped my passport with the new visa at my house. So yeah, she definitely provides a reliable, trustworthy, and convenient service. Highly recommended once more!

Any tips on a 13 month overstay? Don't ask. It did start with a lost PP, and escalated. Will she sort it? He has a new PP and the money available, thanks to me. One of your own.
I doubt she can sort an overstay that long, but maybe she has some tips. Just call her.Flightless wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 12:56 pmAny tips on a 13 month overstay? Don't ask. If it’s a tourist visa you’re ok. Otherwise a visit to immigration and brown nosing is in order.
I doubt Kim would be able to help.

Fridge and YTP, thanks for that. I gather immigration officers can be much like banks etc., where it can depend on whom you end up with as to how helpful they are.
Kim maybe able to help with facilitating the payment and obtaining a new Visa, but unlikely she'll be able to help in reducing the overstay fine, but you never know unless you ask...
Go to the Department of Immigration Visa Office opposite PP airport with;
- Local Police report
- Embassy/Home country passport departments report of lost/stolen passport
- New passport
- Money
- Pay overstay fine
Then there will be one of 2 possible outcomes;
1. They will allow you to purchase a new E-type Visa and you will be permitted to remain in country, or
2. They will make you purchase an Exit Visa, giving you 7 days to leave the country.
If you are unable to pay the overstay at the time you present yourself to the DoI, then the most likely outcome will be that you get locked up in the Immigration Detention Centre until you sort out payment and get deported.

The latter is his worry. I said it aint gonna get any better, and looking over your shoulder can't be fun. Plus, hesitation of the inevitable is costing you (me). So, he's calling Kim. Let you know of anything noteworthy.PSD_Kiwi wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 8:17 amKim maybe able to help with facilitating the payment and obtaining a new Visa, but unlikely she'll be able to help in reducing the overstay fine, but you never know unless you ask...
