Teng Bun Mah (deceased former owner of the PP Intercontinental, and jet tire shooter), news used to say, owned one of the two Mi-26 helicopters now on the Military side of Poenchentong (they previously were based a few km north of there, on the other side of the highway). Does anyone know if either of the helicopters are still airworthy?
(I was just looking on Google Earth at the new National Stadium, and followed the ring road over the Tonle sap and north of the airport, decided to zoom in to see how many planes are now (well, March 2021) stuck parked there - lots. Dragged over to the military side, which we sometimes flew into in the '90's, and saw two of the world's largest helicopter. Expensive machines to leave parked year after year, but very expensive to maintain properly. However, I guess Cambodia is so rich, there is no reason Cambodia shouldn't have a pair.)

It's interesting looking at the history on Google Earth pro, you can see those moving about a bit over the years, and the stacks of out of service Migs. They have about 20 Harbin helicopters and just bought 2 new Mi-17s

3 Mi-17 were bought for general use by HS himself to great fanfare 2 weeks ago. https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50915510/h ... ed-forces/
What didn't get reported so much was the 3 Mil Mi-8AMT helicopters for VIP use back in July. https://cne.wtf/2021/07/12/air-force-ge ... -choppers/
Saw brown one a few days later hovering around, probably on a test flight above Rd 3.
A few weeks later they got a new paint job
