Cost for extending tourist visa
Cost for extending tourist visa
How much does the Immigration Department charge to extend a tourist visa?
$30 directly at the DoI Visa Office in Pochentong, take into account it will involve 2x return trips out there as it is not done on the spot.
$45 - 55 through a Visa Agency, no trips out to Pochentong required.

Thank you PSD_Kiwi! Bus 3 to the airport / Immigration Dept is not close to me. So, a tuktuk for 2 return trips would cost me a total of $12, making $45 via a trusted agent a better option. I finally found an agency close to me that's charging only $45 (most agencies I were coming across are near Riverside / Wat Phnom. The agency looks credible. Thanks again!
Is there any amnesty or discount for long term overstay at the moment?
If you were on a T visa then you’ll be charged $10 from the day they announced the suspension, couple of weeks ago.Guest wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 7:33 pmIs there any amnesty or discount for long term overstay at the moment?
If you’re a long term overstayer then you are fucked. No amnesty.
You can approach a friendly immigration officer and ask him to deal with it but you’ll still get fined, imprisonment and booted out, plus black listed.
No excuse to not pay the $300 per year.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
If so, would a physical condition play a role in the decision making?Guest wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 7:33 pmIs there any amnesty or discount for long term overstay at the moment?
Why would a physical condition inhibit anyone from renewing their visa on time?
I have a physical condition called macrophallus. Most doorways and ministry areas are too small plus any office gets destroyed especially when someone calls my name from behind (No, not my boyfriend) and I suddenly turn around.
I can’t tell you the amount of coffee cups I’ve knocked over.
So it’s entirely feasible this guy has the same debilitating gift as I.

Unless you were in a coma for the past few months, then no, even then you're Khmer negotiating skills would need to be top notch. That is the only justifiable excuse for anyone who is still here on an expired Tourist Visa from early 2020.
With effect 22nd April 2022, the exemption/waiver of overstay fines for those who entered between Jan - Mar 2020 on a T-type (Tourist) Visa, e-Visa (electronic online Tourist Visa) or Visa Exempt Entry ended, so if you still haven't done anything about it you will owe over 3 months in overstay fines,at $10 per day.

Apologies to all, especially PDS_kiwi because he seems to be the oracle on these matters.
I’m planning on arriving in phnom penh in the next few days, can anyone confirm that all I need to do is show up and get a VOA? I’m fully vaccinated. I think, from what I’ve read, is that there is no longer the need to book a quarantine hotel etc… thanks in advance

Just turn up and pay $35 for an ordinary E visa or $30 for a T visa, extendable once for 30 days.
