Unfortunately, I think Hanky is right. Witness the people's revolutions in Russia and China, SA and many other countries around the world.hanky wrote:Does anyone here seriously believe that his replacement will be any better? When I saw all those pictures of black "mercenaries" with cable-ties around their limbs, and big bloody holes in the back of their skulls, my faith in the new crowd started to waver, no matter how many munitions NATO had already lent the "freedom fighters".
They get rid of one bunch of clowns, and initially there is great rejoicing and happiness, tremendous optimism. A few years down the line, some of those who were rejoicing are complaining that the previous guys were better. I was stunned in SA when a black African friend of mine, discussing the high crime rate, stated that ' the boere were better, at least there was less crime' .
I am kind of confused by the west's reaction, who supported him (like many other dictators in the past and present) and then jumped ship like rats when they could see he was on his way out, just to ingratiate themselves with the new oil-storekeepers.
I can understand why they killed him, but it looks like witch hunts may start now, and the procedure for suspects so far has been to line them up and summarily execute them.
