That is a great idea. Unfortunately the robber baroness will be given a lavish state funeral at the expense of the tax payers whose lives she and her bastard successors have made hell.KL&fool wrote: "In keeping with the great lady's legacy, Margaret Thatcher's state funeral should be funded and managed by the private sector to offer the best value and choice for end users and other stakeholders. The undersigned believe that the legacy of the former PM deserves nothing less and that offering this unique opportunity is an ideal way to cut government expense and further prove the merits of liberalised economics Baroness Thatcher spearheaded."
I came, I argued, I'm out

ירי ילדים והפצצת אזרחים דורש אומץ, כמו גם הטרדה מינית של עובדי ההוראה.
Thatcher broke the unions. Without her Britain would be where Italy or Spain are today.
That said there won't be many Irish shedding tears today given her misjudgement of and ultimate mishandling of the issue in the North.

A lot more people would move to Britain if it was on the Mediterranean!Bosco wrote: Without her Britain would be where Italy or Spain are today.
oh well it won't take long for the UK to sink like the Titanic, now they're ranked AAA and soon they will be BBB.Bosco wrote:Thatcher broke the unions. Without her Britain would be where Italy or Spain are today.

Overall, good riddance.
On the bad side, when they privatised BT, and I stated that I had no problem with a choice in multiple phone companies offering a choice, I got shot down by the left. I disagreed with the prices her government set for the sell off's, too low.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. She and her pal Ronny should rot in hell for all the suffering they caused.
If you've bought an insurance product in that period you will likely find that some of its value comes from the UK. Or you could move from being a 'beta' Khmer to being a 'real' Khmer by buying a Range Rover, again a British product.betakhmer wrote:and i can't remember having bought a single product made in the UK in the last 2-3 decades.

First female PM of the UK, an achievement in itself given that politics back then was dominated by men. She also enabled pretty much every family in the UK to own their own home, again something you don't see much in Europe where much is still owned by the state. Many good things, many bad - if we all liked the same things, the world would be a weird place, even Churchill was admired and loathed in equal measure.
