Details from the LinkedIn profile, which is believed to be the account that targeted Cr Carbone, show Pearl claimed to be a British 31-year-old and said she worked at non-profit organisation 'Eradicating Child Trafficking and Abuse' in Brentwood, California.
The LinkedIn account has been suspended, but online records show she claimed to be CEO of an organisation called the Pearl Foundation (Homeless not Helpless), adding that she privately owned a BMW store.
Information about child trafficking included in the profile was lifted from the websites of organisations including World Of Children, Save The Children and the European Union Delegation to the United Nations.
