This is exactly my point he's out there saying polarizing things because if he wasn't in the running no one would be talking about the Republican nomination at all. CNN, Fox etc. are basically tabloids and everyone knows it this is the only way to keep the Republicans ahead of the Democrats in the news at the moment. If they pushed Rubio to the front at the moment he doesn't have the track record or experience to stand on. When he won his Florida seat in 2010 is was an underdog upset and that is the same way they will play this he won't be the front runner until the absolute last minute and then he'll get the underdog vote without the scrutiny and pressure of a long campaign. That will also position him as a 2 time underdog victor coming from a, superficially at least, underdog middle class background, and isn't that really what Americans can get behind at the moment?
