Aren't there quite a few people here that say more arms are the answer. Stupid 8-year old girl; why wasn't she packing????

I find it hard to believe that a kid could successfully fire a 12 gauge shotgun, bloody hell they have a kick. We used to go hunting in the Kakadu with lots of weapons and I remember my mate firing the semi auto shotgun on the back of the panel van and the recoil knocked him backwards off the tailgate onto the ground. Lucky that no one was hurt.

I used a 12 gauge plenty of times when I was 11.

Maybe it was a 24 gauge.

Yeah but you are a tough cunt Lucan, seriously I dont think it was a twelve gauge. they have those smaller calibre shotguns in England.

It wasn't in England, and it was a Winchester 12 gauge full choke. I don't remember anyone ever having any smaller or larger gauge shotguns. I might have been a bit older though, like 12 or 13.

.410 was a very popular shotgun gauge for birds/small game at one stage, around the 70s.Lucky Lucan wrote:It wasn't in England, and it was a Winchester 12 gauge full choke. I don't remember anyone ever having any smaller or larger gauge shotguns. I might have been a bit older though, like 12 or 13.
I think I had a Winchester or Remington .410/12 gauge over/under when I was about 10
Theee was also a 20 guage, 28 guage etc.

Probably not the thread for this, but there are a few sizes of shotgun, from 12gauge decreasing to 20, 28 and then .410. I've got a .410 for snakes and it has bugger all recoil and a 12 gauge kick sending someone backwards out of a ute is a crock of shit....

There are also 10 gauge " Goose Guns ". Single shot with a really long barrel. When I was a kid you could order guns through the mail.I gave up guns almost 30 years ago.Haven't missed them at all.If you think you need a gun you need new friends. Or maybe move.
