meh. I don't think you should vote if you aren't there.

Kiwis can't vote once they've been out of the country for 18 months, unless they can show an intent to return within the next electoral term.

Well that's different then isn't it? Expat Canadians can't vote even if they can prove intent to return. The NZ system seems much more reasonable then.

Yeah but I don't have to pay taxes to NZ unless I'm living there, unlike folks from the states :thumbsup:
