Spent my youth mostly on the golf course, the Spey Valley nestling in the shadow of the Cairngorm mountains.

Until the early 60's the area I live in (the far NW corner of Los Angeles) was horse ranches and truck farms. The hills were still largely undeveloped when we moved here in 67. Now there's a Walmart where one of the most beautiful trails had been.
Pictured: The film The Good Earth was shot in 1937 a few blocks form where my house now is.
Looking towards my future home site, upper left, the ranch homes of Barbara Stanwyck and Zeppo Marx in the foreground c.1938. Clark Gable's home is just out of shot on the right.

The Famous 'Wigan Pier' but it is the up turned rails in the foreground and not the well lit buildings, that are actually the replacement for the original pier, which was sold for scrap, long, long ago.

Nothing but an opinionated tourist. The Pope spends more time in countries than I do ! It is also not my place to comment on a gentleman's dress. A real 23 minute wonder, that obviously knows little about ovens and cooking in Cambodia.
