So basically we have a difference of opinion about Muslims, immigration and how to approach it, and by suggesting that there may be alternative approaches to the present-day ones that clearly haven't worked very well, you and Ali Baba have decided to just relentlessly troll me by following the same boring approach of Rain Dog and vlad. Endlessly repeating the same things that have already been disproven (for example, that I have claimed Canada is Utopia/perfect), throwing up various Straw Men like Quebec independence that haven't anything whatsoever to do with the debate, making claims about what I or others supposedly think about the different Straw Men you have conjured up from nowhere, drawing ridiculous parallels between things that happen in Canada and what this implies about our views on immigration, etc.Jock Jock wrote:Acceptance is the first step to recovery.
Did I not just say that this poll in no way represents the people of Canada, however I do think it is representative in at least some way of the opinions of the Quebeca. Let's be honest you have absolutely no idea what the people of Quebec think, half of them don't even want to be Canadian anyway. I would also suggest that perhaps you don't even care what the people of Quebec think and would rather brush their opinions under the carpet (yet again).
That glass house is looking more and more fragile to me. Half the population of one province want nothing to do with the rest of Canada, and who can blame them when their democratic opinions are so easily dismissed.
Perhaps Canada is not the perfectly integrated utopia you talk about after all, and indeed a quick glimpse behind the smokescreen does show a deep historical divide between the predominantly English speaking regions and Quebec, does it not?
Maybe Canada and Canadians should get their own ship in order before they harp on about how wonderful they are at dealing with a few nice families from Syria, a total number of 20,000 (equivalent to the number of migrants entering the UK every 16 (sixteen) days for the last two years)
You're boring and haven't any hope of convincing anyone other than the mentally weak with your strategy. So carry on, it at least lets us place you in the "Short Bus" section of posters. At least you'll have vlad for company (even though he's likely sitting in the opposite aisle fuming about the company he is forced to keep). Now cue another rant that references "Canada as Utopia", Quebecois (at least spell it correctly you imbecile) versus Squareheads, Indigenous people, the oncoming Sharia Law in Vancouver and the growing revolt against Muslims centred on some small neighbourhood in Northern Montreal. Oh, and an argument about the meaning of "majority". Have I missed any of your other brilliant talking points?
