Believe it or not, there is a whole other world outside of Cambodia and South East Asia, be it people or politics, frustrations or football, this is the place to talk about it.

This anonymous poll is exactly why Trump might shock the establishment just as Brexit did, reading this forum you would think that Hillary would take it by a landslide but the ballot box shows something different. The modern liberal left with their media domination and ever tightening grip on our mental freedom in the name of "equality" have become increasingly dictatorial and harsh with their treatment of dissenting voices.

People now think twice about sticking their neck out and going against the grain but the problem is now that a significant number of people have got to the point where they are thinking, fuck it, let's burn this thing down and start again. Those people will vote for Trump whether they like him or not because at the very least he will shake things up and with a bit of luck just like what appears to be happening in the UK one or both sides of the two party dictatorship will be left as a smoldering wreck.

Yea, that wasn't the best moment for him. In his defense, he says that he just blanked at the question, thinking in his mind "what does the acronym "ALEPPO" stand for??" Once he realized, he was then able to answer the question. And at least he did better than the New York Times, which then misstated what Aleppo was, in print, twice!

That's been his one big gaffe... now let's compare that to Trump and Hillary's track records...

It's a tough call isn't it.

Ladies & Gentlemons.

In the red corner we have ;

And in the blue corner we have ;

Jaysus H Christ, surely if Americans really want to make America great again they should just not vote for either of them? :D

Generally speaking the typical 440 poster with political interests is an antisocial malcontent with unpaid alimony and/or taxes. I would expect Trump-Johnson to win by a huge margin.

The other interesting wider trend that's also evident on this forum is that liberal leftists still tend to view themselves as the outsiders, the underdogs, the rebels fighting against the big guy. But in reality they are now the foot soldiers of the establishment and relish their job of crushing decent in this new virtual world.

Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson is the leading candidate among the military community, according to a new poll.

Alternatively a good argument could be made that the neo-liberals who rail against everything but particularly the mass media and globalisation and all these evil influences/influencers while maintaining that they alone are clever enough to know the real state of affairs (usually peppered with a liberal sprinkling of conspiracy theory bollocks), and that everyone else is an idiot, are the new perpetual protest class.

There is certainly a growing number of them on the forum.

I don't think it's a case of smart or stupid. It's more of a case of the successful baby boomers having so much skin in the game that they will always take the status quo option and feel more comfortable with their fingers in their ears shouting "la la" hoping they manage to cash in their pensions before the whole thing goes pop.

As for students, you can't blame them, they don't have any real world experience yet, they are just parroting what they've been told. There's a reason most people drift to the right as they age (i.e. gain life experience).

Some people don't realise it is all a big circle. Aristotle worked it out over 2000 years ago.
Tyranny to Oligarchy to Democracy. Then when it all gets too free and liberal, the polity cry out for tyranny again.
Vote Trump. ..or Clinton.

The world does seem to have been getting more and more intolerant for a few years now. Control is better now than it has ever been. Maybe the question should be, Just how does a democracy turn into a tyranny?
