Yes, Cook County is an island of sensible firearm laws amidst a sea of stupidity: a few minutes drive out of Chicago, Illinois lands you in places like Gary, Indiana, where gun laws are a joke basically. And there, you see, is the problem... the great majority of firearms involved in felonies in Chicago come from elsewhere.Harold wrote:Doesn't Chicago have some of the most strict gun control laws in the country?
Nice false equivalence there between a vast array of left-wing nutters on the one hand, and a basically irrelevant club of pillowcase-wearing inbreds on the other. I'd genuinely be interested to see a source that shows a pattern of "far more violence" against Trump supporters vs non-Trump supporters, if you have one.Harold wrote:In 2016, leftwing hate groups and lonewolf bigots have perpetrated far more violence against Trump supporters than the KKK has perpetrated against anyone.
Of course it is a false equivalence. That was my entire point. Many people seem to think that the KKK is still prominent in the United States. In actuality, there are only a few thousand people calling themselves the KKK and they are scattered across the country and splintered into several different unrelated groups. The KKK might support Trump because he wants to secure the border and deport illegal immigrants. The overwhelming majority of Trump supporters, however, do not hold a favorable view of the KKK.
Far more concerning is the rise of the neo-Nazis.
I am not aware of any statistics on the volume or level of violence directed at Trump supporters. However, there has been an enormous amount of violence at Trump rallies and it is now known that people with ties to the HRC campaign were inciting violence at his rallies.

The liberals are simply stirring up the country in the face of a candidate who, if he delivers what he promises with the reconstruction of Middle America, will push the Democrats and other liberals into irrelevance. Quite funny to see them parade around crying white privilege when the middle class hasn't seen wage growth since Reagan, and then crying even harder when the white population -- quite expectedly -- doesn't vote in support of the people who were chastising them for their race while they were hurting economically.
The exceptionally tired joke that is the KKK is of absolutely no relevance at all, yet you have current Democratic Party members vocally supportive of the Black Lives Matter hate group, which inspired at least two ambushes in 2016 that killed 8 police officers. The largest hate crime in US history occurred last year when a Muslim man walked into a gay bar and killed 49 homosexuals, and his FATHER was a vocal supporter of Clinton and attended her rallies.
Liberals trying to accuse Trump supporters of hate crimes really is the pot and kettle situation made large. It takes one google search to find dozens of videos and articles concerning Trump supporters being attacked.

See that, an 11 year old attacked for daring to support Trump. The left is far more dangerous than the right these days.

The in-vogue thing to do would be to dismiss any story contrary to your ideology as "fake news" and then demand someone of your political persuasion be given the power to determine what is factual and block everything else to "protect society from hate".Fred Edwards wrote:I was going to post this four or five days ago ,when it broke......I didn't as I thought I would of been called a racist and why didn't I post a vid of the far right doing the same......

Dems need a job. Give them stability, a fair future, and they'll change their tune.
Trump's not pure Republican either. Glad.
The middle is where it's at. Not loony, not cold-hearted.
Reconciliation can finally begin again.
Give Americans better jobs, even to Dems, and they'll change their tunes.
The world will be happier with less Americans travelling around, they'll be living it up in the Americas.
But I daresay, the world should fend for themselves

I was an avowed centrist who is now probably considered an intolerable bigot by the liberal left for wanting immigration law to be enforced like the, uh, law.TristranandIsolde wrote:Dems need a job. Give them stability, a fair future, and they'll change their tune.

This latest Pandora's box of race relations problems was opened by none other than those leftist liberals by shifting the definition of "racism" to include routine law enforcement in cities and at the border. The minority communities only injure themselves by accepting the doctrine propagated by conspicuously white, upper class professors and academics. I was particularly bemused by one of these academics ranting about Trump bringing back "white prosperity" as though prosperity for different races is mutually exclusive and white people must be stopped from having good times.
http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/former- ... prosperity
Trump, on the other hand, has shown nothing but willingness to help minority communities.
Our government has totally failed our African American friends, our Hispanic friends and the people of our country. Period," Trump said in Akron, Ohio, straying from the prepared remarks the campaign provided to reporters. "The Democrats have failed completely in the inner cities. For those hurting the most who have been failed and failed by their politician — year after year, failure after failure, worse numbers after worse numbers. Poverty. Rejection. Horrible education. No housing, no homes, no ownership. Crime at levels that nobody has seen.
Regardless of the race issues involved, you've got to wonder how often nasty shit like this (and probably much, much worse incidents) actually occurs but just isn't caught on video or not made so public. Not sure I'd want to know that answer.
"The final straw actually involved my mortal enemy vladimir, who you may or may not know is an insufferable, overposting asshat."
