Believe it or not, there is a whole other world outside of Cambodia and South East Asia, be it people or politics, frustrations or football, this is the place to talk about it.

Hmm that's what was suppose to happen in the Horn & Pacquiao fight.
11 years difference between Floyd and Conor!
Horn & Pacquiao are both boxers, they train to go the distance - UFC is an explosive "sport" that only goes 5 rounds, and the average duration of the entire fight is a mere 10 mins. To me it's like asking Usain Bolt to become a marathon runner overnight. I've got no doubt he could do it to a decent level if you gave him a year or so, but not in the time McGregor has to prepare for this fight.
As for 11 years; I refer the honourable gentleman to Foreman vs Moorer ... there's life in some old dogs yet!
McGregor did state that he wouldn't last 4 rounds so this would lean your way!
Stupid strategy if that's the case but maybe not.
Wonder if they all get on the coke together
In my defense, my mind seemed to focus on a few words only and create the image it wanted....pounding, continued far into the night, lasting over seven hours, dazed and weary

The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.

i could have swore he said the fight wouldnt last 4 rounds, maybe not though
spigsy comparison to the rounds etc isnt a good comparison at all tbh
a championship fight in UFC is 5x 5 minute rounds, having the endurance to fight a 5 minute round requires a lot of endurance,
doing 5x 5 minute rounds requires just as much endurance as a 12x 3 minute rounds in a boxing fight,
especially when receiving blows,
the blows in UFC are more damaging than blows in boxing,
a foot/shin to the head is like being hit with a baseball bat, receiving heavy blows drains more energy out of you,
like asking Usain bolt to run a marathon?
if you want to compare it to running, id say its more like Boxing is like a 200m sprint, and UFC is like a 100m hurdles
not all boxing fights go 12 rounds, not all boxers fight to win on points,
going the distance is only 'plan b' for most fighters, all boxers will go for a KO and early shower,
thats why they call it going in the trenches and having to dig deep when bouts go into the later rounds
mayweather doesnt need to anymore because hes perfected his defence, but he has had to in the past,
younger more hungry fighters go and train to get the job done early, older more seasoned boxers are more likely to train to win on points or win by a lucky punch,
Horn won his fight because he was the younger more hungry fighter who clocked up winning rounds early on, and stuck in there, the way he came out he had not trained to go the distance, but the fact he knew he had a chance of wining gave him a second wind, he had to go in the trenches in the 9th round and dig deep until the end of the fight
for the people who think Floyd will knock him out easy, you just need to watch this fight, against one of my favourite fighters and one of the all time best journeymen lol
Augustus is a Journeyman, and whilst Floyd was class as always, it also exposes some of this weaknesses, one being his lack of punching power, and this was 17 years ago,
Augustus isnt a big puncher but if he was, he would have caused Floyd a lot more trouble,
tbh i think the Conor fight will go pretty similar to this fight as Augustus has a very unorthodox style, and Floyd has said for years that this was his toughest fight
its a good fight should check it out

I reckon the ''Notorious'' Mcgregor's boxing style AND the attention he gets outside it is all after studying Money Mayweather. It's almost like the UFC sat down and said we need to find a Mayweather $$$$$. Their boxing styles are very similar. The flashy suits and the photos of big blocks of $$$. The luxury jet photos. The Bentley's.
I suspect Mcgregor is actually a nice guy though and smart that he's got where he is.
Kinda want Mayweather to win for the above reasons. The original bad boy.
