My last flight with Ryanair a week ago there were 3 incidents where passengers were giving gip to airline staff unfairly.
1. Oversize hand luggage, as soon as a fee was mentioned the passengers went apeshit.
2. Father giving shit to staff because he had booked his kids into exit row seat and were forced to move.
3. Bloke with one arm sat next to me on the front row, ranting that it was discrimination and he was perfectly capable of operating the exit in emergency.
And those are the ones I witnessed !

Now, I tend to have a few beers when I fly as I am pretty scared of flying (yes, I have flown before. Actually, I fly from 2 - 10 times a month). I have never complained, never gotten into shit with stewardesses/passengers, etc.

I've flown many times on many airlines, the only time I felt I had to stand my ground was on UIA (look it up). The stewardesses backed down in the end but it was close. The incident occurred before take off and I thought they would be cool towards me during the flight but quite the opposite.

You pissed off the Ukrainian Insurgent Army? Bless
This all stems from a report this week that alcohol fueled arrests have doubled in 12 months - usually for violent behavior, trying to enter the cockpit or open doors during flight or sexual assault of cabin crew.
Idiotic Brits like to get loaded for their two hour flight to Ibiza and as flight side airports are outside of U.K. Licensing laws the bars and duty free shops are happy to oblige.
Walking through Manchester airport at 6am watching people down pints is quite a spectacle; it's like being at GSM but with marginally better dressed asshats.

I've been in Heathrow Terminal 5 since 6.30 am this morning and no posh lounge access so am out with the great unwashed.
They're hammering it back and not just Brits but Poles, Nigerians, Indians etc.
The breakfast menu has things like "try this with our espresso martini" or "goes perfectly with our house bloody Mary. Double up for a pound".
I thought it was going to be embarrassing ordering a pint but it's the norm.

So you're part of the great unwashed then if you are drinking a pint before 12!RobW wrote:I've been in Heathrow Terminal 5 since 6.30 am this morning and no posh lounge access so am out with the great unwashed.

12 what? Always 12 somewhere, especially at an international airport. And the border between having a pint at 3am (acceptable) and 9am (not so much) is a very thin line .YaTingPom wrote:So you're part of the great unwashed then if you are drinking a pint before 12!RobW wrote:I've been in Heathrow Terminal 5 since 6.30 am this morning and no posh lounge access so am out with the great unwashed.
