Not really. I have worked with lawyers and my mother worked for a human rights lawyer for many years. Most were/are decent, ethical people. This is maybe the 5th time I've stressed this, but you always conflate yourself with the decent ones to protect yourself, whilst adopting the ideals of the shysters. It doesn't fool anyone.Starving Pelican wrote:Pretty much covers it. He seems obsessed with my choice of job.
I'm obsessed with injustice, I suppose, and people who themselves obsess more about the love of money than justice.
I pointed out the immorality and lack of ethics inherent in an unregulated capitalist system. I've put it in bold font and underlined it so that perhaps even the selectively blind can see it.
If you don't care about that, it's up to you, just admit it.
I also pointed out the inherent social instability which accompanies unregulated capitalism.
You, and every person, should care about that, because as history has illustrated again and again, people who have been wronged, and who get turned away when they try non-violent solutions, eventually try violent solutions.
But, as Steve Miller would say, you could/ would just 'take the money and run'. The way that you knee-jerk against anyone who dares to criticise unregulated (not all) capitalism, distort/misquote what I say and justify some mentally sick fool bringing families into it kind of reflects badly on you.
But carry on.
