Health Care Causes Finland Government Collapse
It seems that Finland, with other countries starting to show the same problem, has finally realized that free really isn't free because someone eventually has to pay the bill. There are plenty of articles here:

What I like the best is that this is the second country, first Venezuela now Denmark, that Bernie has touted as a beacon of socialism that has gone tits up.

Why glee over a failed system? All systems seem doomed to failure. Wouldn't it be nice to have one succeed even despite your personal feelings about it?

From your "search" “Prime Minister Sipila tendered the government’s resignation today citing the collapse of the health and social care reform, even though the real reason was the decline in the popularity of Sipila and his Center Party,” Finns Party member of parliament Ville Tavio said in an emailed statement. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-finl ... Freedom is not a state. It is an act. It is not some enchanted garden perched high on a distant plateau.. Freedom is a continuous action we all must take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society.-John Lewis

The US pays twice the amount on average per person than the rest of the modern world and the gap is increasing. (Fortunatly I am covered through a very generous compensation package at my work. If you get cancer here, you can lose everything.) https://www.healthsystemtracker.org/cha ... item-start

One of the reasons Finland is having difficulties is that they are living longer. they are doing the smart thing and addressing It now. Hardly a collapse. Make no mistake, the people of Finland pay for their healthcare. One of the good things the Obama admin did was increase the nutritional value in school lunches. The vendors are now going back to shoving low nutritional value high profit garbage down their gullets. Who profits and who pays in this scenario? https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/08/us/t ... -usda.html

All this is just a white wash. The government fell after trying to bring healthcare costs to a level their country could sustain. Their costs are skyrocketing out of control. This is what happens when you try to give free everything to any population. Those who will or can, cannot pay everything for those who can't or won't.Sonic1 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 8:32 pmFrom your "search" “Prime Minister Sipila tendered the government’s resignation today citing the collapse of the health and social care reform, even though the real reason was the decline in the popularity of Sipila and his Center Party,” Finns Party member of parliament Ville Tavio said in an emailed statement. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-finl ... Some real perspective. Without the American military, most of the world, or all of it would be under fascism or communism. Everyone talks about how much America spends on it's military and says oh what a waste. They would be condemning us if their countries had no help in times of trouble.
