You may just be forgetting one rather large thing: the election was mostly about Brexit - getting it done and over with.
Even then, the majority voted against it.
I doubt if it will take long for all those 'democratically minded' Labour voters that switched sides to come back into the fold. But who knows? After all, Thatcher was elected three times even after all the devastation she caused to working class communities.
I met a young couple from up north at a restaurant on Xmas day - they voted Tory. Their two main reasons being not trusting Corbyn (as opposed to a blatant liar) and all the things Labour were offering, and that it was undemocratic to not leave the EU.

Is he still going on?
You're stuffed for a decade minimum, just like the war-mongering Democrats in the US.
Haven't you got a friend you can talk to (and I'm not volunteering)?

Poor sods, out for Christmas lunch and they have the misfortune of a chance meeting with KFF. On Christmas Day of all days.kungfufighter wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 3:09 pmI met a young couple from up north at a restaurant on Xmas day

Is it possible that kff is even more boring than the insufferable Vladimir? At least vlad livened it up with some jew baiting and a whiff of sexual scandal. This guy is just plain dull.
Borris is now off for a very well earned bit of R&R on Mustique. £20,000 a week for the villa - it looks quite nice. I wonder what JC is doing...

Probably the same as he does most Friday evenings. Sitting alone and naked in his basement, masturbating angrily into his own faeces, while looking at pictures of a very young Margaret Thatcher.
"We, the sons of John Company, have arrived"
damn you have a wild imagination.I like that.
Merry Christmas Playmate bro. Crappy New Year. All the Best. I love you.
You are a good fella ..I mean that.
I know it's rude to ask a person their age, so I wont., but if you can tell me what year you was born would help.
Are you the last remaining man standing, alive from the Original Khmer K440 Crew?

I go away for 5 minutes, come back to see the usual hackneyed right-wing Jesus masterbates over his own fecal matter excuse.
"Even Jesus wasn't a good man. He used to wank over his own shit."
Such malice from you all.

Not to worry. After they told me they had voted 'stupid', I gave them an old fashioned look and carried on with my lunch.slavedog wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 4:53 pmPoor sods, out for Christmas lunch and they have the misfortune of a chance meeting with KFF. I heard from a little piggy that you have been voting Tory since you were 6 years old.
When your parents used to send you to your bedroom for trying to charge them through the letterbox to get back into their own state supplied housing, you used to set up a polling booth made from a cornflakes box and continually vote Thatcher to get them back.
Who would have guessed that the working class North would one day eat ergot infected Johnson's Pride and vote along with you.

It's highly likely that they'd visited S21 and the Killing Fields while in Cambodia and had a very visceral reminder about the dangers of radical ideologies, especially ones that originated in France and Germany (Socialism, National Socialism, Post Modernism, The Frankfurt School etc etc)kungfufighter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 1:22 amNot to worry. I'm pretty sure they were happy they voted Tory, even if it was the first time...

As happy as a pig in the proverbial shit no doubt. Which is exactly where they are, and will be, for a few more years yet.Hot_Pink_Urinal_Mint wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 7:15 amIt's highly likely that they'd visited S21 and the Killing Fields while in Cambodia and had a very visceral reminder about the dangers of radical ideologies, especially ones that originated in France and Germany (Socialism, National Socialism, Post Modernism, The Frankfurt School etc etc)kungfufighter wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2019 1:22 amNot to worry. I agree that the NHS and Social Services were deemed radical ideas at the time. Our magnificent neighbors, the French, decided to murder the rich, and with the highest level of public spending in Europe and their very own state-of-the-art A2G fighter jet, one would have to admit that they were right in doing so.
You've got to give these fuckers a short, sharp shock to keep them in check.

So what are the chances that Johnson will appease the northerners who voted for him with a soft Brexit? Iirc, the economic assessment said that a no deal would effect them the worst with a minus 11-12% economic forecast.
