Darwin awards
Very helpful Jared, but I think the recent topics feature down there does the same thing.
Speaking of Darwin Awards and the Coronavirus, this is what Miguelito had to say about the wearing a face mask in March:

Yes, my position has grown since then. I’ll stand by that masks generally do not help prevent one from catching it, which was mostly why people wore them at the early stage. This was backed by many scientific articles and the CDC. I agree now that they are useful and necessary to stop the transmission (to protect others, not yourself).
It's been suggested that this fact - masks stop you from infecting other people, not the other way round - helps explains the huge surges in cases in the US, particularly in the dopey southern states. Making a tiny sacrifice like wearing a mask to protect others is just not part of the American psyche.Miguelito wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 4:29 pm

Up the workers!
My point is that it should be common sense that wearing a face mask reduces the risk of transmitting the coronavirus and it is a good thing, at least from an evolutionary point of view, that anyone who is stupid enough to trust the US Surgeon General, the WHO, or an Armenian over their own instincts is at a higher risk of dying from the coronavirus.Miguelito wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 4:29 pmYes, my position has grown since then.
