US Election 2020

Believe it or not, there is a whole other world outside of Cambodia and South East Asia, be it people or politics, frustrations or football, this is the place to talk about it.

Hear and hear, but do not understand; see and see, but do not perceive.
For they do not know what they hear, see, say, or do, and yet they do not concede that they are blind and deaf.

If their brains were as big as their mouths they wouldn't be republicans.Trump losing was like when Keeping it Real Racist died.I thought I would enjoy it but ......
Too simplistic. There are good and decent republicans who believe in the core values of conservatism. But the party has been taken over by Trumpism which to me is the polar opposite of conservatism - he is a nationalist radical. He is not a conservative by any stretch of the definition.

The same applies to the British Tory party. I consider myself a conservative generally but find no place for me in what the party has become.

To provide balance I suspect many Labour and democrat supporters feel the same about their political homes when they felt it drifting to Corbynism or AOC.

To be honest, a Biden presidency with a republican senate is a perfect outcome - even to Biden. It will enable him to put constraints on the far left of his party and it plays to his strengths as a political negotiator.

Yep, however that Trump idiot did do so much damage to the country.

Not only the huge people divine, though let's not forget the state debt he increased significantly at the beginning of his term. An easy way to gain popularity, however, that money has to be paid back once. Something you see more often with Republican presidents in the past 50 years. And then in the next Democrats presidency, the debt needs to be paid off again, resulting in diminished popularity of the Democrat.

Having a Republican Congress makes things difficult to correct, resulting in a much longer recovery period.

I doubt even you believe that he is staying in the White House Visser.

The gore issue was one state. Biden has won Pennsylvania by a long shot. Georgia has been called for him too. Nevada. There is no way for him from here. Literally.

It’s over. Let it go fella.
Depends if he can stall the litigation process long enough, there is a time limit after all and when exceeded Trumps chances of winning are pretty good.

Besides, it will be highly entertaining

Imagine they were not let in even after a court ordered them to be let in and instead of enforcing the court order the police stood down. Oh wait that actually happened.

I’m not sure it’s that simple. He can’t litigate forever to stall it.

Besides, the law states the following:

“If, by reason of death, resignation, removal from office, inability, or failure to qualify, there is neither a President nor Vice President to discharge the powers and duties of the office of President, then the Speaker of the House of Representatives shall, upon his resignation as Speaker and as Representative in Congress, act as President.”

So, his litigation tactic is going to lead to his beloved Nancy Pelosi taking on the role of President. 😂

It’s almost fitting that his presidency ends while he is out playing golf and his lunatic sidekick Guiliani and other nutjob aids give a shambolic press conference spouting conspiracy theories at a - get this - Philadelphia landscaping company literally next door to a dildo shop called Fantasy Island.

The funny thing is trump posted that the conference would be at Four Seasons Philadelphia. It transpired that it was at a company called Four Seasons Landscaping Company, at the back so journalists wouldn’t film the sex shop.

I’d love to know who made the choice and why.

This just gets funnier and funnier. It seems that the campaign talked about the venue for the press conference and someone suggested the Four Seasons. Trump then tweeted it, and campaign staffers either accidentally or on purpose booked the Four Seasons Landscaping Company.

What the fuck is that children’s paddling pool doing there?

Impressive. They're spot on up to the 4 states with a tight race, and if I'm not mistaken it was written over 4 months ago.

Thanks Visser, excellent article - and scary in its accuracy.

Rudy’s press conference was held between a crematorium and a dildo shop.

Democrats celebrate in large crowds with no social distancing.

I feel like we’re living in a South Park episode.

The 'ball-pit' meme originated from the 2014 Tumblr festival, 'Dashcon' and is photoshopped into images of failed events. At Dashcon they promised to provide a ball-pit large enough to cater for 5+ thousand people but only provided the one that was pictured in that image. Pretty clever use.

Fake polls, fake votes.

When's he gotta be outa the White House den?

I wanna see some more drama. The climax. Kicking and screaming as the men in white coats drag him out, heels scraping along the floor.

Surely the most entertaining President ever.
