https://archive.is/XN432People familiar with the investigation said prosecutors had examined emails between Mr. Biden, Mr. Archer and others about Burisma and other foreign business activity. Those emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop abandoned by Mr. Biden in a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and with the investigation.
US Election 2020
It appears that the New York Times has confirmed the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop story:
Now Trumpy Bear is violating funding laws by raising campaign funds before formal announcement that he is running.
That is plain silly Guest(...vdo), US law doesn't apply to past, present, or future Presidents. I hear they can shoot people on 5th Avenue, and, indeed, clever genius voters reward them for bragging about it.
I bet you if you had a look behind the scenes of every single US president that has ever served. their funding began a very long time before the officially allowed date.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 6:21 pmNow Trumpy Bear is violating funding laws by raising campaign funds before formal announcement that he is running.
Trump just doesn't care who knows, I think.
Is this a joke?
By law, presidential materials must be preserved and sent to the National Archives when a president leaves office. (Suggestion, don't clog the White House toilet your last day there, believe 99% of your self chosen advisors who tell you, "You lost", then you have well over a month to secretly burn docs at your leisure.)
Trump also removed at least 15 file boxes of documents when he left. (Probably...[true idle speculation, or only actual, verifiable, conspiracy theory? YOU decide. Do the research!] including copies of Hilary's emails announced by the FBI before 2016 election, hacked by helpful Vlad and delivered via WikiLeaks Julian & Roger S, and[?] by Trump's Russian gun nut Butina. Must be true: it's on the f'ing internet!) Me, I'd guess these docs somehow compromise 93% of Republican politicians. How else could Mr Orange maintain so much influence? He's not President, but even his only successful job, playing a boss on a dodgy 2nd rate TV show, was long ago. I don't personally believe it could be $$ from sweet Saudi and Russian killers.
Anyways, the Archives asked politely for months, and months, and months, and months. Finally, early this year, Trump and a lawyer met some officials at Trumps house and they did give some government docs back. (I imagine Trump's lawyer was there to legally state that returning the docs in no way proves that the Donald accepts he actually lost the election and that a different old, old guy was now living in the White House.)
While yesterday's Trump house visit was just to try again to get more of the Docs owned by his former employer (i.e. the citizens of USA), and nothing to do with his incitement on and before Jan 6th (Good people, good people. My people. They didn't bring guns for me. Turn off the weapon scans. Did I say, 'Hang Mike Pence?,' but still, he deserves it!)
Still, all news is good news. Grab 'em by the pussy. Shoot on 5th Avenue and etc.
'24 can't be legit if 2020 Georgia votes remain unfound. Oh, but if Trump is actually still President, his second and final term ends 2024. No worries, He can get out his crayons and print a new constitution. Worked for Xi.
Keep 'merrica great again!
(Seriously for a moment, they are both way, way too old. 2/3 of the senate & congress too. Experience is good, but get people who have to live years with the decisions they make.)
Sorry, maybe too much coffee today.

I suppose it's better than stealing the furniture, right, Hillary?Guest9999 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 10, 2022 12:55 amTrump also removed at least 15 file boxes of documents when he left.

I think that is an utterly ridiculous statement even if meant as a joke.
I agree that the Clintons by trying to keep 200k dollars of furniture, gifts, etc were doing the wrong thing, and that action needed to be corrected, but it pales in comparison with not following procedures when it comes to leaving all presidential documentation in place as you leave office. Ever since it was introduced after Nixon this has been a rule anybody aspiring for that office is aware of, pretty much anything you do and write will be stored forever. And is not yours to keep.
Bringing furniture, vases, and whatnot with you as you leave is an undeserved financial gain, so without a doubt not ok, but in most cases, the items themselves are of little historical relevance and could easily be replaced if need be. The offense in the majority of the cases is purely a financial gain and has in most cases no historical consequences. I guess if any of the gifts they kept were unique items, then it could also be considered a violation when it comes to maintaining a historical track record of presidential interactions.
Regardless of political preferences, I think it is hard to with a straight face argue against that
not following the procedure of maintaining the records can only be seen as serving corrupt self-interest, and hiding facts from future historical research.
And that is not even considering that this also included classified materials.
I'd argue that the reclining office chair in which Bill sat whilst being blown by Monica Lewinsky has high historical value.Guru Meditation wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 6:39 am...in most cases, the items themselves are of little historical relevance and could easily be replaced if need be.

I guess that is true, but making fun of people stealing furniture conveniently distracts attention from the topic of trying to hide your track record by attempting to keep documentation that you did not have time to flush down the toilet.fapsara wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 7:09 amI'd argue that the reclining office chair in which Bill sat whilst being blown by Monica Lewinsky has high historical value.Guru Meditation wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 6:39 am...in most cases, the items themselves are of little historical relevance and could easily be replaced if need be.
Trump and his disciples have been all over the media expressing outrage at the raid. Curiously however they haven’t released a copy of the warrant which they would have been given, nor a list of the items taken as evidence by the FBI.
That feels significant.
Then a day later he pleads the fifth during a deposition on another matter, a couple of years after saying only mobsters take the fifth.
It’s all starting to look rather grim for him.

Trump is dangerous, as far as the Dems. are concerned, because of his popularity with Morons America Inc.
