But you could still do , visa free, 90 days on Costa del Luz and then 90 days in Morocco, in the future , hopefully. Who knows how visas n travel will change but change they will. Get to a place where you don't mind getting stuck coz you can't leave is my plan and that place is Cambodia. I can't afford to get stuck any longer in Spain, mentally, physically and financially!

Yes, but unlike in Cambodia, Spain - and I assume the rest of Europe - will be requiring those on long term visas to meet certain conditions. The killer for many Brits will be the need to prove close to £2000 a month income for one person and around £450 extra for each dependent.

That is for residency not for long term visa which as far as I can work out doesnt exist unless you are a student or something similar. But, yes, that is why most Brits who are complaining cannot get residency. However, that figure is ridiculous, if you own the property , don't drink ( much ) , cook at home , then you could easily live on half that amount, although I think the biggest killer is paying tax and health insurance on the pension or savings which they have already paid tax and health insurance on in the UK, a double hit!

I guess that’s what we voted for Horace - the right of a sovereign country to decide entry requirements for bloody foreigners.
I have never voted, don't trust the cunts, never have, Mark Twain got it right when he said if our vote would make a difference , they wouldn't let us vote.

Despite your epicaricacy, scoobz ( only the second stage of Brexit grieving, I believe) I can't see being treated like the rest of the world as a problem. Chinamen, Americans and Indians have no problem obtaining long-term visas to the European countries of their choice, or Britain. Visas are part of life for everyone on this forum I'd think.
I have no problem with it myself Rob. I’m just heartily amused that the idiot expats in Spain Who voted to leave are now finding themselves on the wrong end of the freedom of movement lash.
Som num na, as I believe our Thai friends say.

I was under the impression that anyone who had become a non - resident ( 5 years out of country) of the UK had no right to vote!
And on their return to the UK had less rights than an illegal immigrant.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
You’d be better advised to focus on facts rather than UKIP and Daily Mail sound bites.

What is a UKIP ? Daily Mail! behave yourself, El Pais and the Guardian. All online of course as I am too tight to pay for the real thing.

Here's a thing though: If they have non-Brit dependants/spouses, will they have to pass the financial and other tests (adequate accommodation for one) to bring them back to the UK?
