Former PP resident here who has moved in to another work location but likes to keep in touch.
I’m pretty keen on following DNA Doe Project which aims to return the names to murder victims and other historic unidentified deceased (UID) in the US. Many are decades old and being solved via the use of DNA (only the services that allow users to opt-in). If they can identify even distant relatives then they can try to build a family tree and work out where the missing person fits. But very few Asians are in these databases…
This case looks like she could be of Khmer heritage - the earrings look classic 1980s Khmer to me.
