Haven't followed the Azow gang in detail, but wasn't the nazi connections mostly connected to their original appearance on the Russian war scene in 2014, and since they got integrated with the Ukrainian defense forces in a more official way, this has been toned down within the organization to now mostly be a historical offense, and most of the recent members have no connection at all with nazi sympathizers?Harold wrote: ↑Sat Jul 30, 2022 6:04 pmThe POW facility was holding members of the Azov Battalion. If the Russians or their allies really wanted them dead, they could have put them on trial and then hanged them. A trial and an execution would only take a couple of minutes because simply being a member of Azov warrants the death penalty in the eyes of any reasonable person.
The Nazis in Kiev have an incentive. They probably don't want the Azov scum to spill the beans about their western sugar daddies.
Not in any way denying it did exist, but as of my readings it seems to no longer to be the case with most current members. Though since a lot of the nazi sympathizers still remained in Azow as I understand it, they have not cleared their name and taken full distance to such beliefs.
