Thanks for posting that vid, really interesting. I had no idea of Ukraine's Viking heritage; "'Rus', the men who row".circeewolf wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 7:11 amThanks, prahok, more balanced analysis.

End of week 37 of the Russo-Ukrainian War and all eyes are Kherson.
In the North, Northeast and West there were continued missile and drone strikes but no changes on the ground.
In Belarus, Lukashenka talked up the Polish threat, possibly in a bid to keep forces on the Western border and out of Ukraine.
On the Luhansk front there were few changes. Ukraine continues to advance on Svatove, albeit slowly, whilst Russia had some success pushing Ukrainian forces away from Kreminna.
In Donetsk there were no changes of note. Russia undertook a large assault on Pavlika to the South but was repelled due to elevated Ukrainian artillery in Vuhledar and mud.
In Zaporizhzhia there were no changes.
In Kherson there are reports of Ukrainian advances along three sectors of the front. There is a lot of conflicting information, however it appears Ukraine is advancing and Russia withdrawing units. It is all very recent, very loud and very unclear. The Russian appointed deputy head of Kherson Oblast reportedly died today; a car accident is cited. Things should become clearer as the week progresses.

Indeed.
The withdrawal is yet a further blow for Putin and his Orcs. The reason given is that supplies are not getting through to Russian forces in Kherson, and one can only surmise this is because of the bridge to Crimea being damaged.
The withdrawal will be dicey as the Russians will be vulnerable to the Ukraine counter-offensive, so yeah, 'things could get messy'.

Interesting...
Freedom is not a state. It is an act. It is not some enchanted garden perched high on a distant plateau.. Freedom is a continuous action we all must take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society.-John Lewis

Hmmm, many didn't want to return, fearing a trap
Time will tell, I suppose

Russian forces appear to have withdrawn from the right bank of the Dnieper in reasonably good order. There was a lot of equipment & munitions left behind and reportedly some forces are still withdrawing/ caught behind lines, however on balance it was a successful withdrawal.
Essentially this was the Ukrainian objective for the Kherson counter-offensive; strangle supply lines and bleed Russian forces until they are forced to leave. Russia's only recourse was to push Ukrainian forces outside of HIMARS range of the Dnieper crossings, something they were unable to do.
The Russian withdrawal from Northern Kherson frees up a lot of troops for both sides. Where these are redeployed remains to be seen, however Russia are short of trained troops on the Luhansk front.

Believe it or not . Ukraine's FM Kubela is in PP where ASEAN and invited non-members like Joe Biden and Russian FM Lavrov attend, too. Many handshakes to be made and a suggestion for a welcome song during the Handshake session:

So what's on the agenda? ...Myanmar. Fair enough, but why would Ukraine, Russia or the US give a flying fark about Myanmar.

Aleksander Dugan, a far right nationalist mystic (a kind of modern day Rasputin) and Putin’s spiritual guide called for Putin to be assassinated yesterday in a Telegram post that was quickly deleted.
The tide is turning against Putin who is also hiding from world leaders by not going to Bali this week.
