Elon Musk and Twitter
^ still refuses to comment on Elon and Dogecoin.

Would you rather be one of the suckers who lost fortunes shorting TSLA?
Have you heard of this pathetic, obsessive guy?
I let professionals do my investing and spread my risk across hundreds of stocks, numerous sectors and dozens of countries. I suppose I own some Tesla stock in one of the many managed funds I hold. I dunno. I don’t care. I invest; I don’t speculate.
I’m always wary though of people who consistently bang on about one particular stock or asset, which you do regularly. First it was some crypto currency that you urged everyone into. Now it’s Tesla. It feels like you love to talk them up to other members and when the inevitable price crash comes - as it has in both your recommendations - you shrug it off, and call everyone suckers for not getting in on a buying opportunity.
It’s borderline cultish.
Dogecoin is a joke, like most fringe cryptos. If you're too much of sucker to believe otherwise... that's on you
Why do you feel the need to comment on a meme crypto that's always been a joke?

Because Elon has been plugging Dogecoin for the last couple of years. I can understand Tesla investing in Bitcoin, but Doge? Honestly? The guy seems to be an horrendous control freak. And he has far too large a following to start pumping shitcoins. Shakes head.

Here is 2020 tweet from Elon that he deleted. Speaks volumes about his true nature and motivations.
Freedom is not a state. It is an act. It is not some enchanted garden perched high on a distant plateau.. Freedom is a continuous action we all must take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society.-John Lewis
Jeez Sonic, you're not big on irony are you?
When you deal with a nutcase conspiracy theorist it's fun to feed their frenzy. Musk is having fun.
You also probably took it at face value when he joked the next step after Twitter would be to buy Coke and put back the cocaine.

Logos. my appreciation of Irony depends on the author. Is that individual seeking to garnish attention like a feckless teenager? Or is said individual a responsible business owner, morally, ethically and socially? It is however going to be quite ironic when Ford's new EV pickup truck outsells Tesla's p/u truck in the states. Here is an old vid so viewers that have not seen the Tesla p/u can. The Ford EV truck looks like their gas powered version. Ford stock sells for $13.50 a share and has a dividend of $2.87.

It's baffling to see people follow Elon Musk or worship him as a billionaire. As someone with that much wealth he has opposing class interests to the masses, and will logically act on those interests like union busting and exploitation through low wages. Why does anyone pay attention to this class enemy? It is likely he will just remove any anti-capitalist speech from Twitter to serve the interests of himself and the feudal investor overlords of the USA. At most he will allow social democracy on the platform which is the moderate wing of fascism.
Musk is an enemy of the people, and to try and portray him as anything else is an act of propaganda and betrayal against the masses!

It's always amusing when no commercial value loonies rail against the likes of musk and declare him an enemy of the people and "the masses" as espouse some fluffy non fully formed socialist rhetoric as being the solutionCharmingOwl wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 3:19 amIt's baffling to see people follow Elon Musk or worship him as a billionaire. Fuck off to Venezuela or Brazil if you wanna see what a 21st century socialist revolution is like
Most of his wealth is held in Tesla stock. He’s taking massive risk, how dare he.LAZT FECK OG wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 1:03 pmIt's always amusing when no commercial value loonies rail against the likes of musk and declare him an enemy of the people
Insiders and owners of a certain percentage of the company must submit a form to the SEC weeks ahead declaring the intention to sell and how much they wish to sell. Those forms are public and routinely scrutinized.
If Elon was to liquidate a large portion of his shares or all of it then it would be publicly known far ahead of time and the stock value would plummet as a result. Therefore the majority of his wealth exists only on paper.
He’d be lucky to get 20% of what he owns in share value on the day that he announced his intention to sell. A sale that large must be split in chunks over time so it does not completely nuke the company value and for the seller to get a better average dollar value.
Ironically Elon and Tesla under his lead is very much anti-Wallstreet and Elon is very vocal against the dysfunctional porn browsing SEC and gambling addicted Wallstreet suits. He’s also the largest taxpayer in America, compared to for example Apple who pay no taxes at all.
Those who understand market mechanics tend to direct their anger at the legislating bodies. Those who don’t direct their anger at individual risk capitalists.
It’s been a difficult week for Musk. First he gets roundly vilified for posting bollocks suggesting Ukraine should cede Crimea to the Russians, then his lawyers tell him he will lose his Twitter court case and is forced to resurrect the deal.
And now it seems the funders of the deal have pulled out.
