Brexit: a disaster?
I hope Brexit wasn't responsible for all the fruit and veg left to rot in Spain. Spain's a nice country. I'd feel terrible about that.

A country intentionally imposing economic sanctions on itself. What a mess. The clown in charge isn't even a supporter of Brexit, but saw supporting Brexit as a way of winning an election. Now he's a national embarrassment and the country a laughing stock.
When Covid meant that fruit couldn’t be picked in Spain, they allowed illegal immigrants in temporarily to deal with the issue.

Not your most convincing argument Rob.

So they weren’t illegal immigrants? That would mean that they are just immigrants then, or expats for want of a better word.
Badly worded. They allowed in immigrants who would otherwise have been illegal to deal with exceptional circumstances.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 6:27 pmThey allowed illegal immigrants in…Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 5:29 pm

Unlike Brexit Britain of course, which preferred to get discourage previously legal workers from being here, leaving crops to rot because our fat arsed, benefit addicted population won’t demean themselves to work themselves.
Boris "Open Borders, Brutal Lockdowns, and War with Russia" Johnson does not care about human rights. He only cares about his own ego and his own career.
I can see you're absolutely convinced that the Dail Mail is right, was right, and has always been right for 70 years or since even before the unemployment benefit act took force. Of course, there is absolutely no benefit company owners in employing Indian citizens over native citizens.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 7:06 pmBadly [thought out] worded. He is a politician.
I would have thought that hundreds of years of observation by your people, you would have realised they all speak with forked tongues.
Quod scripsi, scripsi
I seem to remember several 440 Brexiteers arguing that the EU was collapsing and that it would be dead within years of the U.K. leaving.
Another wrong call. It seems stronger now than ever before.
And of course the UK’s departure has meant the average IQ in the EU has soared.
